How To Get It
  • 1/2 Ounce per bottle

Concentrated, powdered, hot water dyes that produce the most vibrant possible results on protein fibers including silk, wool, cashmere, alpaca, feathers and nylon. The only acid involved is the vinegar you add. One-half ounce bottle will color up to two pounds of fiber depending on the depth of shade. In addition to garment dyeing, you can also paint or print with these dyes. Extremely brilliant and colorfast, they produce a uniform dye job and the colors are beautiful, pure, transparent and luscious.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color WAY OFF The burgundy dye results in bright purple when dying 100% natural color wool. Disaster! Fortunately I was able to use Rit dye to get to a solid black, so at least the yarn is still usable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jacquard Dyes for Wool, Silk, and Nylon I used the Jacquard acid dyes for dyeing wool and silk yarns with nylon blends. The dyes work pretty well and create some pretty deep colors that are pretty wash-safe. It does require hot water, nearly simmering, to properly dissolve the dyes in water. If you don't use hot enough water, the dye can sometimes clump together on the bottom. I'm still experimenting with all the colors on different yarn blends, but so far the Jacquard works fairly comparable to other acid dyes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jaquared Acid dyes Love the colors! Work wonderfully. Make sure you wear an N95 mask while mixing colors into dye stocks. Do not breath these dye powders in. Once the colors are in liquid form, you no longer need the mask.
